Dec -March
These are the winter months, you can enjoy snowfall at Manali itself. Distance hill peaks will be covered with snow so you will get a good view. There will be less water in river but stay away from river as water will be freezing cold. Daytime temperature can go up to 7 degree and night it will be less than 0 degree, can drop up to -5.
(Note– During Winter Rohtang pass will be closed.Roads up to Manali from Delhi, Chandigarh, Kullu will remain open but beyond Manali towards Leh roads will be closed)

This is the Peak tourist season, better to book package including hotel in advance. Try to escape from hot weather in plane areas and enjoy cool climate with your family at Manali.
